Dance has long been a way of expressing, celebrating, healing, and connecting. Through out the world, in our families, neighborhoods and even in our apps we

D A N C E.

While using dance in healing practices is not new, inviting the body into therapy feels a bit different as psychology has primarily focused on the mind. But we know, the body and mind are connected, and through this integration healing can be found.

We each have a unique way of moving in the world and I find that amazing. In session we can find they ways you connect to your body, and ways to express your inner world.

Our dance is connected to our story, and I would love to get to know yours and accompany you on your healing journey.

What is dance/movement therapy?

Dance/movement therapy (DMT) is defined by the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual, for the purpose of improving health and well-being.

DMT looks very different for each individual, some do not utilize any physical movement in counseling, while others might engage in full body movement depending on comfort level and interest in expressing oneself through movement.

Less “dancing” then you imagine… think more movement in therapy.

Do I need dance experience? Nope. Just open to connecting to your body.
